Ebony is Europe's leading steelband and was one of the first steelbands to be set up in the UK.
Ebony is 19 times winner of the Panorama competition held at the Notting Hill Carnival and has twice been crowned champions at the European Steelband Music Festival in France.
The band has played at Buckingham Palace, major sporting events in Europe, India and the Caribbean and regularly performs at festivals, concerts, corporate events, weddings , private parties and schools.

Steel Drums Added at Tahlequah High

If steel drums ring your bell, you are in luck. The Tahlequah High School Orange Express Concert Band has added new magic to its repertoire and it promises to bring a dynamic and exciting boost to the band’s image. Thanks to a donation from Randy Gibson, the tropical percussion staple will give kids a chance to experience something novel and unique. The sound of two lead pans, a set of “double seconds,” and a full set of six bass pans are compliments the former band member from the University of Oklahoma.

Walla Walla Brings in Steel Band with Guest Artist Tom Miller

Steel Bands attract crowds, so get ready to get in line for the one from Walla Walla University featuring Tom Miller on Sunday at 7:00 pm. The Gesa Power House Theatre at 111 N. Sixth Avenue will be home for the evening to the guest artist widely-known as a top drum soloist. His accomplishments are legion and include performing, composing, arranging, and educating students in the lively musical genre.

The Steel Wheels are Coming to Marblehead

Mark your calendars for June 14th. The Steel Wheels, to be introduced on May 16th at the me & thee coffeehouse, will be back for a Beatles Benefit. You can also expect to hear them later in September. The band is poised for public recognition with their unique hybrid of old time folk and a new bluegrass sound. The band brilliantly recovered from blatant controversy generated by their involvment in developing soundtracks for Online Slots Games.

Ithaca Set to Receive The Steel Wheels

It’s news when the Virginia-based band, The Steel Wheels, come to town. Ithaca is on alert when Monday night, the group headlines the annual “Tunes for the Trail.” This concert, taking place at the Haunt, has targeted the proceeds to benefit the Cayuga Waterfront Trail in need of completion. The group has actually been instrumental in supporting the trail for some time and thus is the ideal selection for the annual event. Concert organizer, Rick Manning states that local bands are generally tops on the list, but because of their SpokeSong bicycle charity tours, The Steel Wheels is a must.
